THE PRE-WEDDING RUN-THROUGH
A hair and/or makeup run-through is your chance for a sneak preview of your wedding day look, to connect with your stylist and just enjoy a luxury experience of being pampered by a professional!
WHAT HAPPENS AT A THE RUN-THROUGH?
Pre-wedding run-throughs take place ideally around 2-3 months before your wedding day, and usually last 2-4 hours (hair & makeup). Your chosen stylist will travel to you for your trial or if you would prefer, or some of our stylists have home studios too.
This is an opportunity to talk logistics. For example, if you have lots of bridesmaids we can provide you with a timing schedule in advance to ensure that the morning runs smoothly. If necessary we can arrange for an additional stylist or assistant to help.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to let us know in advance how we can best support you on your day.
DO I NEED A PRE-WEDDING APPOINTMENT?
You aren’t required to book a this, but they come with so many benefits that we strongly recommend it.
With a pre-wedding run-through appointment, you can:

Talk through your likes, dislikes, requirements and timings in depth

Give feedback and change direction if something’s not working for you

Test the staying power of your chosen style in the gym, a crowded bar, or dancing the night away

Take photographs in the hours after the trial to see how your hair and makeup look through a camera lens

Enjoy your glamorous style for the rest of your day - the perfect time to book an engagement shoot, bridal shower or date night!
In other words, this is what lets you start your wedding day knowing without a shadow of a doubt that you will get exactly what you want and need from your stylist.
WHAT IF I'M NOT ABLE TO BOOK A PRE-WEDDING RUN-THROUGH
OR I SIMPLY DON'T WANT ONE?
We do understand that sometimes its is not possible, such as in some destination weddings. In that case, you can discuss your ideas directly with your stylist over email/phone before the wedding day so that you are both on the same page.
We may even simply be able to schedule some additional time on the wedding day itself. That way, you and your stylist can discuss your chosen style in person and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the look you want is achieved.
This would cost a little extra to cover your stylist’s time, but you may decide it is worth it to give you that extra peace of mind.
THE WEDDING DAY
This is it! The big day. You’re surrounded by bridesmaids in chic mis-matched gowns/doing yoga on the beach to centre yourself before your destination wedding/sipping strong coffee with your significant other before your secret registry office elopement.
Then your stylist arrives, and your wedding day really begins.
Your chosen stylist will arrive promptly at your venue or home on the morning of the wedding, at a time you decided on together in advance. They will give you a warm greeting and congratulations, then set up their station in a convenient, well-lit space.
It is important to us that your wedding morning is relaxed and happy! Your stylist will know how nervous and excited you are, and will be the calm and reassuring presence you need.
Before you know it, your hair and makeup will be flawless, exactly as you imagined - or better.
And, at your request, they can be on hand throughout the day to keep your make-up looking fresh for photographs should you so wish.
