Weddings at Kew Gardens

Set in Richmond, South West London, Kew Gardens is one of the most unique and desirable wedding venues in the city. It’s just far enough out to offer a quaint countryside feel while holding on to its London postcode. The grounds at Kew are truly phenomenal, being home to the iconic botanical gardens making it a perfect venue for a London wedding with a natural twist.

As a recognised heritage site but UNESCO, Kew offers incredible backdrops, from glasshouses to perfectly landscaped gardens. It’s a dream setting for wedding photography and a haven for nature lovers who want their special day surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty.

Let’s talk about the dress. It’s no surprise this photo was picked up by Vogue. After a morning of bridal glam at London’s Four Seasons  it was time for our bride to make her way to Kew. The Zuhair Murad couture dress was breathtaking. The silhouette, the detailing, the texture, it was everything and more.

A romantic ceremony in Kew’s Nash Conservatory

The ceremony was held in the beautiful Nash Conservatory, one of the most striking wedding venues at Kew Gardens. Originally built at Buckingham Palace before being transferred to Kew, this  beautiful 19th century glasshouse is grand and bright. The conservatory is bathed in natural light making it the perfect picturesque backdrop to say ‘i do’.

For couples planning a South London wedding with a more intimate guest list, Kew Gardens also offers Cambridge Cottage, a slightly smaller venue bursting with historic character and elegance.

For this very special Kew Gardens wedding, the bridal brief for this was elegance, softness and natural texture, echoing the botanical surroundings. Our lovely stylist Kate took this all on board creating a chic, low textured bun with soft spiraling details, designed to complement the dress and natural surroundings.
