HELEN L - London

Originally from Sheffield, I studied in 1999, graduating with a degree and VTCT in hair and Media make-up before moving to London to work in TV & fashion.

Some jobs in my career include working for NCB, SKY, BBC, Channel 4, Peter Pillato and VSMONO fashion week, Black hair and Beauty Magazine, women’s fitness magazine and L’oreal.

I’m passionate about my work and especially enjoy creating a brides hair and make-up look. I think the brides personality should show through her style whether its classic, vintage or boho.

I work in a calm and relaxed manner and I’m attentive to detail.

One of my signature looks is elegant glamorous eyes, glowing skin and soft lips. While it brings out all the best features I find it’s a look that never dates. Soft curls either up or down creates a timeless style.

My kit mostly includes MAC, Urban Decay, Channel and Dior for make-up and L’oreal Professional, Tigi and Bumble and Bumble hair styling products.

"Dear Helen, I just wanted to write to you both to thank you for doing such a fab job with the hair and make up at our wedding on the 28th June at Grays Inn.

My bridesmaids, best woman, and mum all looked absolutely stunning and completely loved having their hair/make up done and I think really helped to make the day seem special for us all and was a big treat! I was so happy with my hair and makeup and the photos of us all are great.

You also kept us all calm which wasn't an easy task so thanks!"
